As Laura stood in that cold mechanical hospital room listening to her son fight for just one more breath of air, she prayed to God to let him live. But then she blinked and he was gone; an icy cold hand ripped her heart out of her chest and she had to think about how to take another breath. As her life changed forever, she soon realized that one of the most treasured possessions a loved one leaves is a heart full of loving memories, a precious source of healing and comfort. Laura had been thinking for sometime about passing on a legacy to her family. She had already outlined her way to comfort, fullness and security in life. The sudden and unexpected death of her son made her realize that she needed to pass on to her family the significance of faith. Laura Schaufel is a witness to the power of prayer. She testifies to a series of extraordinary events that manifests divine intervention in human affairs. She wants to promote faith, hope and inspiration. Laura lives in the knowledge that for the duration of our earthly existence we become marked by extreme and often needlessly excessive complexities, such that we seem to continually ignore forewarnings that are being sent to us. This ordinary woman lives in the knowledge that God has a purpose, a destiny, and a plan for each of us. God has been showing her His plan all of her life through acts and actions that only now does she, to some extent, understand. It is her fervent desire to get the reader to search their own life to see and find similar events that have provided the direction that God has had them take.
