Regina Mason

Author Regina Mason is a nurse practitioner who initially began researching her family’s health history as a project to learn more about what conditions and diseases were prevalent in her family. By knowing what diseases and conditions were present in her family, the thought that she would be better able to communicate health risks with the purpose of disease prevention. Little did she know that over twenty years later, this project would turn into something much more. Not only did she become the family historian, she also functions as one the main genealogical researcher and provides guidance in family reunion planning. Ms. Mason has held membership in the African-American Genealogy Group of Philadelphia and has attended The Family Reunion Conferences sponsored by Temple University’s Family Reunion Institute, under the direction of Dr. Ione Vargus.
