My name is Chidinma Onyegbaduo also known as ADA DAVIDSON. I write my books with both names.
Ada is my middle name and Davidson is my father’s name. I was born and raised in Imo state of Nigeria where I attended my early education. I also went to college in Nigeria for my first degree before immigrating to America in 1997. Since arriving in United States, I have worked in American public school as an Elementary school teacher, middle school teacher, and high school teacher. I attended University of Phoenix and received my masters’ degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am married and a proud mother of three children, two girls and a Boy. Writing to me was a way to pass down some of the anecdotes and folktale that I received from my parents and background as a child, to my children. I needed them to enjoy some of the rich cultures that I grew up with which played a great role in what I am today. I started writing to pass my tradition, culture and language to my children and now I write to share a bit of myself with my readers.
I have written books for children, Igbo Language development and young adults. These include Singing Fish Magic Treasure, Masquerade Dance, A Tale of the Singing fish, Igbo Language Development and English language Development (ILD&ELD), Book of Contemporary Poetry, etc. The books can be found at Amazon.com, Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble and many other book stores.
