Kay Marner

Kay Marner is a freelance writer and editor living in Ames, Iowa with her husband, Don, and their two children. Aaron, age 14, is their biological son. They adopted Natalie, now 11, from an orphanage in Russia at age 2½. Marner writes primarily about special needs parenting, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and its common comorbid conditions, learning disabilities, and adoption. Marner co-edited Easy to Love but Hard to Raise: Real Parents, Challenging Kids, True Stories (DRT Press). She contributes regularly to ADDitude magazine, the top national publication about ADHD and learning disabilities.
