S.A. Stone and Anitra Morgan are the pen names for Steven Stone writing with his wife Anitra editing. The romance style novels are published under the name S.A. Stone. The "Dawn" vampire series, published under the name Anitra Morgan, are much darker, harder hitting, erotic and openly sexual. Anitra Morgan started writing the "Dawn" series in 2002. The books were inside struggling to escape. For the past 9 years, these books have been a major part of Steve and Anitra's lives. Striking out from the formulaic vampire, the character Dawn was written as 'the first vampire,' more monstrous in some ways, and in other ways more tragic than any of the others. The World of Dawn is based on Kabballah, the ancient Jewish mystical view of how the universe is made. The storyline creates a powerful ensemble cast around Dawn, with only 1 member remaining fully human though-out the book series. That characters humanity is something all the others depend on to keep from becoming truly monstrous. Intrigue, mystery, eroticism, sex, blood and drama are all part of the hidden world within our own.

The Dawn series has the following titles:

"Rise of Dawn" which is the origin of the main character's entry into modern times and the introduction of the primary ensemble characters. It features political intrigue, action and an entirely new hidden world complete with mythological creatures brought to life.

"Shadow of Dawn," The second in the series, has the characters all coping with the new realities of their lives. They all make changes, and the stresses increase when it appears they are all being hunted by Dawn herself! At the same time, more monsters and more hidden world beings notice the group.

"Reflections of Dawn" The third in the series, begins with a hunt for some missing main characters. More origins are revealed, and more truths are uncovered as the hidden world becomes more dangerous, and more of its residents attack the group.

"Child of Dawn" the fourth in the series, reveals a series of past and historical events that have separated Dawn from much off her own past, including an entire family line. How do you reunite with a family whose entire existence is designed to destroy you and all you hold dear?

Steve has been writing vampire stories and researching history, fiction, and vampire mythology since the 1970's. He's had several articles, including a nationally published article in "impaler" magazine and an article in "Eroica" fanzine. He has also written nonfiction and text books on vampire mythology.

Steve is a wildlife caretaker and educator, and the pastor of an alternative religion church. He is often in the news for either animal rescues, educational programs, or some sort of charity works.
