Silja

Silja was born in 1974 in Switzerland, moved to Ireland in her late teens and now divides her time between Dublin, Ireland and Arkansas, USA where her husband is from. As well as the Green Wiccan series of books, Silja writes the a monthly herbal magic column for UK woman's magazine "Soul & Spirit" and occasional features for "Spirit & Destiny" and other magazines and radio shows.

She started off her occult journey being interested in tarot cards and doing guided meditations with friends, but quickly became interested in Wicca as a religion and the practise of witchcraft. Through the years, her pracise has changed, going from ecclectic Wicca over traditional Alexandrian Wicca and Celtic Wicca back to a more ecclectic/ hedgewitchery type of witchcraft. She feels that the great thing about this religion, and magic in general, is that it is so adaptable; it can change with your views, your experience, the amount of time and money/ supplies you have and anything else that influences your life.
