Gregory L. Heitmann

Gregory L. Heitmann was born in 1969. He grew up in Groton, South Dakota, playing sports, as well as hunting and fishing in the northeast part of the state. He graduated from Groton High School in 1987 and South Dakota State University in 1992. Greg is retired from the transportation field. He currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where continues to hunt, particularly enjoying elk hunting in the forests of Northern New Mexico.

Greg enjoys reading a wide variety of authors and genres. Some of the most influential authors in his life include: Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, Tony Hillerman, and Craig Johnson. But, the truth be told, he mostly listens to Andrew Klavan's audio books and various podcasts, including his own.

Greg's writing career started in 2008 with several screenplays and then moved into novels. Greg now has 19 screenplays under his belt and nine published novels. His first work of non-fiction "The Colonel & the Kid: A Memoir Volume 1” is a tribute to his grandfather. It is available on Kindle with the audio version through his weekly podcast.
