Sherry A. Burton

Born in Kentucky, Sherry A. Burton eloped with a Navy man at the age of eighteen. Forty-six years, three children, ten grandchildren, and a furry menagerie later, Sherry and her husband make their home in Michigan's Thumb.

Sherry A. Burton is a full-time, multi-genre author of 40+ books, writing stories filled with heart, mystery, and the possibility that some goodbyes aren't really the end. Whether she's writing historical fiction, romance, paranormal mysteries, or cozy reads where the dead aren't quite finished with their stories, Sherry often juggles several manuscripts at once, splitting time between her private office in town and her home office.

When Sherry isn't in her writing chair, she enjoys traveling to libraries, historical societies, colleges, and other venues where she gives presentations on the history of America's Orphan Trains, along with author talks and book signings. She is a listed speaker with the National Orphan Train Complex Speaker's Bureau, sharing the fascinating history of the children who traveled America's railways in search of new homes and families.

Her award-winning Orphan Train Saga series is a clean read appropriate for all ages and endorsed by the National Orphan Train Complex. The series has received multiple awards, including the coveted Charles Loring Brace Award awarded to her by the National Orphan Train Complex for the historical accuracy of the Placing Out Program in her books.

Sherry's 20-book-and-counting Jerry McNeal Series is a clean read, offering stories of mystery and the supernatural without explicit content. Each book in her Jerry McNeal Series has earned multiple Amazon bestseller tags.
