Jim Moorhead

An experienced crisis advisor, Jim Moorhead is a managing director in the public affairs and crisis practice of Burson-Marsteller, a global strategic communications firm. Over the last thirty years, he has addressed crises as a political consultant advising national candidates, as an investment banker helping Fortune 500 companies defend against hostile takeovers, as national legal counsel to major companies and their executives facing regulatory, congressional and criminal investigations, civil litigation, and media scrutiny; and as a public affairs and issues and crisis specialist helping companies protect and enhance their reputations.

He has triumphed over his own crises of losing a statewide political campaign and being a high-tech casualty.

He is an accomplished public speaker, drawing on his skills as a trial lawyer, former federal prosecutor, statewide political candidate, and TV commentator. For the last 20 years, he has been a frequent commentator on business and legal issues and major trials on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox Business News, Court TV and Washington, D.C. and Baltimore network affiliates. He was a regular guest host on an America's Talking show about waste in the federal government. He is frequently quoted in the media on business and legal issues.

Jim is a graduate of Columbia Law School and Harvard College. He lives in the Washington, DC area with his wife and their two children.
