Leigh Podgorski

Leigh Podgorski, an award-winning writer, is the recipient of the Literary Titan Gold Book Award for her newest release, Feathers of Wisdom. She interviewed Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross for her play, Windstorm, and Cahuilla elder, scholar, and healer Dr. Katherine Siva Saubel for the play, We Are Still Here. As a recipient of the California Council for the Humanities grant, Leigh adapted the play to a documentary that now resides at The Smithsonian's Museum of the American Indian.

She is the author of The Women Debrowska (based on her Polish ancestry), Ouray's Peak, Western Song, and the mystical Stone Quest Series, which includes Desert Chimera, Gallows Ascending, and Neuri Shapeshifter.

With Indigenous artist Kait Matthews, Leigh created Flowerwise: Oracle Card Deck and Guidebook, and Feathers of Wisdom. The anthology presents forty-four tales and legends of Indigenous women throughout the ages.

Leigh considers Feathers of Wisdom the defining piece of her life's work, which has been dedicated to giving voice to the women who have been silenced for far too long.
