K. Lee Watson of Blacksburg, Virginia is the Health & Safety Trainer for Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. A graduate of the Radford University / Carilion (formerly Jefferson College of Health Sciences), Liberty University's School of Government, and Virginia Tech's Center for Public Administration and Policy. A paramedic since 1993, he remains active as a volunteer with Longshop-McCoy Fire Rescue along the New River in rural Montgomery County, Virginia. He also works for Carilion Clinic - Roanoke Memorial Hospital's ED & Trauma Center as a paramedic. He continues to work extensively as an author, frequently publishing articles and updates related to public safety, occupational safety, motorsports, and all things related. Lee also regularly appears at EMS conferences, speaking on a variety of topics.
Prior to Virginia Tech, Lee developed NASCAR's award-winning Track Services Advance Training Program during an eight-year tenure as their training manager and track services coordinator.
Lee has authored multiple books, including work with Pearson Education. His titles reflect a love for applying technology to improve transfer of training and a passion for improving the present condition through quality education and training. Lee also attended Virginia Tech's College of Engineering just out of high school. He fell in love with Hokie Sports while covering football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball for the Collegiate Times.
