Nigel Edwards

I was born of Welsh parents in 1954, in Nigeria, West Africa, and educated mostly in Wales - but can't lay claim to any notable academic success! After school I joined the Royal Air Force and served for six years, including a tour in the Middle East.

My lovely wife and I live in Milton Keynes. Sometimes we have pets. Sometimes one or more of our kids lives with us, too.

When not writing I work in the software industry.

I've been writing since around 2005. I go to Ian Watson's (actually he got married and now lives in Spain but it's still his baby) Northampton Science Fiction Writer's Workshop every month, and owe a huge amount to the group for their always helpful advice and critique. Sometimes we disagree but it's always an education.

My life ambition is to retire with my lady to the romantic coastline of Cornwall, there to write stories until I become a part of the beautiful, rugged scenery in the fullness of time. My reality ambition is to keep earning enough to pay the bills...
