Tracey Perger

Tracey Perger has been writing most of her life. She has written poetry, short stories, newspaper articles, two novels entitled I Had Dreams and Alternate Choices, and one nonfiction book also entitled I Had Dreams. (It is the same story as the novel, but the truth.) She is currently working on another true crime book. She spent 15 years driving a taxicab and although none of her books are about the cab business, she has drawn on the stories she has heard over the years. She is also the current Nashville Domestic Violence and Abuse Examiner on Examiner.com. She founded Open the Box Ministries in 2013 to encourage people to open up and tell their stories.

"When I look into the window of my heart (as a writer), what I see is the lost hurting people in this world who feel so alone in their pain. The world tells them to get over it and move on, so they shove it down inside themselves and try to pretend that it isn't there eating them alive from the inside out. It's literally killing them, but they don't know what to do. They can't figure out how to, nor can they find someone to help them, get it out of their bodies! I want my books to encourage people to open up and talk about those things that are eating them alive. My goal, my mission, is to offer hope and healing to a hurting world by letting them know that they are not alone--that others have gone through and are going through what they have/are. I also want to tell people that there is nothing they have done that is so bad that God cannot forgive them. He can and He will, all you have to do is ask!" --Tracey Perger
