David Walters

I'm David Walters, author of the successful Samurai's Apprentice series which now stands at four books and counting. I've also written two of the Dragonwarrior trilogy, and a fantasy novel City of Masks. There are plenty more novels planned!

I'm also part of the writing team on The Way of the Tiger roleplaying game due out next year, adding my samurai and ninja expertise to the popular fantasy setting of Orb. I'm also working on a couple of gamebooks, and enjoying the challenge of writing in this format.

My writing tends to have a Far Eastern flavor, as I am drawn to the culture. This interest has led me to travel across China, and I have contacts in China and Japan to this day.

Throughout my life I have had an interest in history, particularly military history and ancient history, which has certainly helped with research for my books.

My career has been varied, with the jobs ranging from working at a government department to working on a military base, to a financial auditor. I've also studied disciplines at university as diverse as forensic medicine, law and philosophy. Currently, I am involved in full time IT analyst work. I am also a husband and father, so I'm always kept busy.

The novels I have underway at the moment are Samurai's Apprentice 5 and Dragonwarrior 3.
