About the author
Dr. Lothar Beutin is a microbiologist and author of non-fiction, science-based thrillers, and socially reflective literature.
He has conducted research at leading institutions in Berlin, including the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, the Robert Koch Institute, and the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, as well as at the Pasteur Institute in Paris.
In his work, he combines scientific insight with narrative storytelling, often exploring themes such as biology, public health, and the societal impact of scientific developments.
His recent work focuses on the biological mechanisms of weight regulation and sustainable approaches to healthy weight management.
In addition to several science thrillers and short story collections, he has published popular science books aimed at making complex biological topics accessible to a broad audience.
