Mike Freeman

I live in Jamestown, RI, as the full-time parent of two daughters, the oldest of whom has severe autism. Previously, I lived in Alaska for ten years, gathering field data for fish and wildlife biologists. I've published sixty reviews, articles, and essays, with two essays being notably mentioned in the Robert Atwan 'Best American Essays' series. In addition, I've published two books, 'Drifting: Two Weeks on the Hudson' (SUNY Press), and 'Neither Mountain Nor River: Fathers, Sons, and an Unsettled Faith' (Riddle Brook Publishing). mikewfreeman.com contains posts about rearing the two girls in southern New England.
