Joyce Zeller

I like to write in any genre, always with romance and some history: paranormal, women’s lit, science fiction, all with humor and at least a cat. I use all my life experiences in my books. I've been a wife, and raised four children. I've written a food column for a newspaper, designed and built sets for theatrical productions in amateur theater, where I've acted and done some directing. I know film-making. I've served four years in what was The Women's Army Corps back in 1952. I'm a professional perfumer and an aromatherapist. I serve as an alderman on the Eureka Springs, AR City Council.

I go for deep characterization and I like a lot of plot. One reviewer refers to me as a humanist in Love Out of Time.The characters I write about will stay in your heart. Humans don’t do loneliness well. They need love. They yearn for it. That theme is repeated over and over in my books. My people have problems, they’re screwed up, they hurt, but they prevail with courage and more importantly, humor. When you finish the book, they will still be there for you and you’ll want to return to live a scene again. I call it the “Aahh” response—satisfying and fulfilling.
