Renato Massa

Renato Massa was born in Milan, Italy, where he was also active for about half a century as a professor of Zoology at the State University but also as a writer of natural history with a wealth of articles published on several wildlife magazines and not less than 50 books on animals, national parks, protected areas, conservation problems through the world. He was also travelling very much in Europe, Asia, America and especially Africa where he was also working on a number of research projects on parrots, namely Grey parrot and African Orange bellied parrot. He left the university and Milan city in 2009 but he is still active as a writer living in the little village of Marliana, in the Tuscany Apennine. He has recently written many e-books that may be classified in four separate series: (1) Naturalist's tales, an autobiography in several titles telling different periods, animals and countries of his life, (2) Animal welfare discussions about animal welfare and so called animal rights, (3) Historical novels about the university life, (4) phantasy. I hope very much that you will enjoy reading some of them, although most of them are unfortunately available just in Italian.
