Phyllis Vavold

With unbridled fury the devastating automobile accident left Phyllis Vavold seriously injured and alone. Her husband, of thirty-nine years had not survived their head-on collision with two teenagers joyriding in a stolen car at 130 miles per hour. From Grace for the Raging Storm she writes; "I am an ordinary woman with an extraordinary story to tell. Life happens in spite of our hopes, dreams, or plans. Good people experience bad things in life. As a child of God, we have the assurance God will walk with us through the raging storm."

Phyllis Vavold Nettleton lives in Nampa, Idaho with her husband, Seth. When two people bring into the relationship children from another marriage, it is called a blended family. "Our new family is brought together by choice. But we are held together by God’s love. Seth’s and my desire is to embrace each one with open arms. Our blessings have only begun."

Since her accident and miraculous recovery, she has become an inspirational speaker and author of five books. She shares her journey of faith through Bible studies, at women's luncheons, women's retreats, and churches across the Northwest.

Her first book, Grace for the Raging Storm, was featured at the 2014 Writing for the Soul Conference in Murfreesboro, TN, hosted by Jerry B. Jenkins. Phyllis recalls, “To be selected to share was an honor and to be encouraged by those who know the writing journey was overwhelming.”

Her new book; Grace My Love Song is a sequel to Grace for the Raging Storm, the continuing story... Bible studies, Covenant of Grace, Recipe for Perseverance, James, Servant Brother and Surviving Life's Trauma are also available.
