Mark Sekula CFM LEED-AP

Mark Sekula, FMP, LEED-AP, CFM, IFMA Fellow, is President of Facility Futures, Inc. a global facility management consulting firm in Milwaukee. With over 36 years of facility management experience, he has served as a facilities management practitioner and as an FM consultant. He is a certified instructor of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and teaches classes in facility management nationally. He is also an instructor at Northern Illinois University in the Facility Management Program.

A Certified Facility Manager since 1993, Mr. Sekula has served on the board of the International Facility Management Association’s Southeast Wisconsin Chapter and as a director on the IFMA International Board of Directors. He founded the IFMA Facility Management Consultants Council and has served as an officer of the Southeast Wisconsin IFMA Chapter. In 2011, Mr. Sekula was bestowed the highest honor given by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) when he was named an IFMA Fellow. Mr. Sekula also co-authored the recently published book titled, “The Facility Manager’s Field Guide” as well as having had over 25 articles published on facility management and business issues in a variety of professional journals. In 2013 he was named Distinguished Author of the Year by the International Facility Management Association.

Mr. Sekula holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning and a certificate from the Kellogg Management Institute-Management Certificate Program at Northwestern University.
