Born in North Germany, I studied at the University of Sydney/Australia - Germanic literature and language, PhD: Arthur Schnitzler, Leutnant Gustl." Long-Term Lecturer German Lit at the University of Sydney, specializing in the literature of the 19th Century. Journalist for German Publications such as the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" and the "Badische Zeitung". Co-Author of the "Buddenbrooks-Handbuch" and numerous other publications. Seminars and lectures on literature, history and philosophy in German and English.

Latest publication: "Die grüne Schatulle" - a family novel stretching from 1900 to the nineteen sixties.
