Randy C. Finch grew up in Louisville, KY, and received a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1978. After graduation, he worked as an engineer for several years, but shifted to doing computer-related work when personal computers became popular in the early 1980's. As part of his job, he authored or co-authored a number of internal company reports as well as many papers presented at conferences. Apart from his job, he has written almost 40 articles for computer magazines and was a regular columnist for a computer journal for two years. Additionally, he has written over a dozen philosophical articles, three of which were published in a philosophy journal. He has authored a number of poems, some of which have been published, and he has written three unpublished fictional short stories. His first published book is a humorous philosophy book entitled "Beginnings to Endings: Philosophical Ramblings for Avoiding Global Destruction." "Passion is a Harsh Taskmaster" is his second book and his first fiction novel. His third book is entitled, "God Is: Exploring the Nature of the Biblical God." It is a critique of the Bible that came as a result of years of research into its veracity. All three books are available in Kindle and paperback formats.
