My latest is a Young Adult novel, Wolfchild. It recently received the "Official 2025 Best of Los Angeles Award" for Young Adult Novel.

Wolfchild is a follow-up to my eco-thriller of two years ago—They’re Back!—Sometimes You Should Be Afraid of the Dark. Again, wolves play an integral part in the story. But this time, the main character is a 12-year-old girl. Here’s a brief excerpt from the back cover:

“P.J. Conners is a survivor. When she was a small child, wolves saved her from a brutal Minnesota blizzard. Now, years later, she is reminded of her connection to them through strange dreams one fateful summer. It’s a summer P.J. never will forget.

“Now 12 years old, she rescues a young girl from abduction, only to be kidnapped herself. Evil Crater Kendall takes P.J. to a remote cabin in the woods, where she is shocked and confused to find…her uncle?

“In a strange turn of events, P.J. is thrust into a twisted, sinister plot of greed and murder. She escapes and finds herself once again aided by wolves as she struggles to survive in the wilderness and learn why her uncle wants her dead.”

I’ve also written four children’s books. Cindy Sue and the Lunker Club is the latest. It’s a fun, family-oriented story about a girl who learns to love fishing from her grandfather—and at the same time, gets hooked on trying to catch a lunker. Including a tribute to some of the legends of bass fishing, it’s actually a story for anglers all ages.

I love fishing, nature, and teaching and those passions are reflected in Who Let the Bugs Out? and Who Let the Frogs Out? And Who Let the Dinosaurs Out? They are mysteries that teach young readers about nature, as well as encourage them to go outside and explore it on their own. Each book ends with a positive lesson learned about life by Bobby and his friends.

My short stories and nature photos have been published in both adult and children's publications, including Boy's Life.
