Dorcey Alan Wingo

Dorcey Wingo lived an amazing 40-year adventure as a "gypsy" commercial helicopter pilot. Drafted into the military in 1966, Wingo began his flying career as an army gunship pilot in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Gaining valuable flying experience, he began carrying soldiers into combat. In this role, Dorcey discovered a love of utility flying that would propel him to the far corners of the globe in pursuit of aerial adventures. Through the decades of adrenaline rushes and years of risk-taking came two uniquely original nonfiction books: "Wind Loggers," published in 2005; and his EVVY Award-winning autobiography, "The Rise and Fall of Captain Methane."
