Elsa Pendleton

Elsa Pendleton received her bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and her master's degree in library science from Louisiana State University. She spent 17 years near the Eastern Sierra where she worked for the Navy as a contractor providing configuration management and library services. She and her husband have an illustrated website, www.bobandelsa.com, filled with travel writing and some family history. Elsa is also co-author, with Sandy Bradley, of The Long Overdue Library Book, a collection of stories shared by librarians about their work. Elsa's first Sierra Nevada novel is Pinyon Creek, California, the story of Spence Richardson and his wife Molly Capshaw during the time when William Mulholland masterminded the Los Angeles Aqueduct which emptied the Owens River into the ranches and developments of Los Angeles. Death By Chocolate is her first murder mystery, subtitled A Murder For Librarians.
