Ken Powers

Ken Powers was born in Billings, Montana. He lived and attended school in the small farming community of Conrad, Montana and after obtaining degrees in Computer Science and Industrial and Management Engineering from Montana State University in 1992, pursued a career as a professional luthier for the Gibson/Flatiron Mandolin and Banjo Company. In 1998 he continued his musically-based career path by becoming the Chief Brass Musical Instrument Repair Technician for Music Centers, Inc. in Tacoma, Washington. In 2004, he began his creative journey as a self-taught watercolor artist. It is through the very successful online marketing of his watercolor artwork that he began to effectively utilize social-media as a promotional tool. He is currently living in Tacoma, Washington with his wife and two children.
