Stephen J. Koreivo

The author lives college football even more now that he's retired! When Fifty Years was published, he had attended 676 college football games since 1972 and seen every Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team play at least once. After the 2024 season, he's attended 712 games now including three CFP games leading to the championship. Of the 12 teams in the first such CFP format, he witnessed eight in action this season. He takes pride in scheduling to see the best and most competitive games possible during the course of each season.

Koreivo has also attended games played by teams of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Division 2, and Division III. As he enters retirement after 42 years as a Purchasing professional, his journey continues as reflected in his updated Bucket List published in the final pages of his latest book release. In 2023, he joined the Football Writers Association of America. He's reported all games on his website since 1991.

A native of New Jersey, The Birthplace of College Football, he retired to Middle Tennessee to extend his life-long adventure. At MetLife Stadium on October 26, 2024, he celebrated his 700th game with 40 friends to watch Notre Dame play Navy. Married to “St. Laurie” for most of this journey, raising their two kids together, and retiring from a rewarding yet challenging career, he took the time to write this book to share how he enjoyed his 50-year adventure with others. It depicts a very successfully balanced, work-life journey. His unique adventure continues! Already, he's planning games for his 2025 chapter.
