Eileen Simkiss

Currently living in Cheshire, UK, Eileen was educated to age sixteen at a grammar school in Manchester. After secretarial training, she worked in Switzerland for two years and learned the language. She has subsequently worked as secretary to a Member of Parliament, bi-lingual secretary, translator/interpreter and teacher.

Eileen loves to travel, frequently alone, within Europe and beyond, visiting Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco, Cuba and Russia.

She aspires to write books with a strong story line which hold the reader's interest and make them care about the characters

Her first book, 'The Houses on the Green' was published in 2011, and her second, 'Weighing the Odds' is also now currently available on Amazon, Amazon Kindle and Lulu.
