Carol Grier has been battle-tested by life. Her indomitable spirit and fierce determination has carried her through numerous setbacks including parental abandonment, multiple traumatic relocations, a cheating and emotionally abusive husband and the tragic death of her only child from AIDS.

Through her own increasingly mindful decision-making and awareness she eventually found happiness. She returned to school as a middle-aged student and earned a Masters Degree in Theater Arts. She embarked on a study of the characteristics that good men have in common -- and used that knowledge to pinpoint her own perfect life partner. And she set out to become a published author, with the goal of inspiring women of all ages to carefully consider the choices they made in their own lives.

Through her experience, Carol Grier emerged as "Wise Old Carol" -- a name that fits her well.
