Cassie J. Sneider got her start by making zines and Xeroxed comic books. She has condensed a lifetime of crappy jobs and music nerdery into her fi rst book. This book is about the other side of rock and roll: where the radio waves end up in the room of a teenager saving up to buy an electric guitar, in an optometrist’s offi ce where there is an endless supply of chocolate to quell any subversive ideas, and in a car after picking up a hitchhiker on a roadtrip.

Cassie J. has put 240,000 miles on a Toyota Echo doing readings all over the country. She has been published in the2ndhand, Sadie magazine, Newsday, Savage Love, and when she was eleven, Ann Landers’ advice column. She collects 8-tracks and new friends.
