For the last forty-two plus years, D. L. Starkey has served as a minister, social worker, hospice chaplain, and bereavement coordinator. He has held various leadership positions in different churches, as well as work for a number of hospices. He holds D. Min. and M. Min. degrees, as well as degrees in social work, and radio/television broadcasting.
He is strongly dedicated to the call of Jesus on his life. His desire is to reach those who are hurting and troubled, whether it be due to a physical loss or due to losses caused by one's own sinfulness, strongly believing that the love and grace of Christ can heal the most wounded of hearts. D. L. Starkey is one such healed spirit as God has rescued him from a sinful past.
He and his wife, Patty, live in Southern California and have been blessed with five children. Their passion is to serve the Lord Jesus in "spirit and in truth," realizing, of course, that all men are fallible. Their hearts' desire is to witness the next coming of the Lord Jesus, if possible, in their lifetime.
