Lawrence Gold

Lawrence W. Gold, M.D. served as a Battalion Surgeon in Vietnam, ran an emergency room

outside Saigon, and spent 3 years as a hospital-based Chief of Medicine. After retiring in

1995, he and his wife Dorlis sailed through Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. He has written nineteen novels, fifteen set in the world of Brier Hospital, and three screenplays, including Rage, which earned an honorable mention at the 80th Annual Writer’s Digest contest. He lives in Grass Valley, California.
