After working many years in Maryland public schools, Cassandra Collins began writing. When not writing, Cassandra sings in a choir, tap dances and works in a medical office. She graduated from The University of Maryland, Baltimore County and taught 9th grade English in the public schools. She had four children and kept her brain alive by writing and substitute teaching all ages and subjects. Now her children work as her graphic design and editing team. Black Market Medicine, her first novel, reflects her concern regarding the coming shortage of primary care doctors in America.
