I live on the Quantock Hills in Somerset where I grow vegetables, tend an outlandish Irish Setter, and write historical-fantastical-feminist fiction (feat. mysterious manuscripts, legendary queens and doomed empires), as well as more-or-less serious non-fiction (feat. stormy seas and unplucked pheasants).
