Elena Minakova-Boblest

Elena Minakova-Boblest, Ph.D., was born in Moscow and studied at the Moscow State Linguistic University and at the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute. She taught all levels of Russian Language at the universities of Moscow, Innsbruck and Munich and is the author of several learner’s books, e.g. "Langenscheidt Praktischer Sprachlehrgang Russisch" (Munich, 2007), "Langenscheidt Russisch mit System" (2011, 2015, 2025), "Modern Russian Idioms in Use" (Asbuka, 2020), "Russian for Beginners: Reading and Pronunciation in 10 Steps" (Asbuka, 2018, 2020) as west as co-author of several translation dictionaries.

Her new book "Modern Russian Grammar in Use" (Asbuka, 2020) was originally published in 2019 in a German-Language edition under the title "Russische Grammatik: Regeln, Übungen, Sprachgebrauch". In 2024, the Spanish versions of the grammar book and of the beginner's course were published: "Gramática rusa actual: reglas, usos y ejercicios: Un libro de referencia y práctica sistemática" and "Ruso para principiantes: lectura y pronunciación en 10 pasos".
