William Kuehler Jr.

I live on the Maryland Eastern shore where it is farm land with open vistas of fields of wheat, corn or soy beans. It's quiet here with the sounds of nature broken by the occasionally running of my neighbors lawn tractors. I am a retired engineer who after working for 34 years decided to take another turn in my life. Besides enjoying the casual activities like golfing, gardening, fishing, model trains, and model boat building, I decided to write a new constitution due to frustrations brought on by the activities in Washington. We cannot continue to borrow one trillion dollars evey year to pay for social welfare programs. In order to avoid a financial collapes, changes must be made in the way we govern ourselves and a new constitution will do this.

It is my belief that the problems we face today will lead to a financial catastrophy unless we fix the systemic faults within the existing constitution. It may be that the one property of democracies we have not been willing to accept is the fact that they fail after a time due to uncontrolled spending. So, I wrote a new constitution and attempted to fix the problems that have brought us to the situation we now face. Some have called this pampus, or dangerous but I am willing to leave it to the reader to decide for themselves. My book is titled "One Man's Opinion: A Suggested Rewrite for the Constitution of the United States".
