G J Woosley

Gail J. (Hoyer) Woosley was born on May 13, 1955 in DeWitt, Iowa. She was the third of seven children born to an Iowa dairy farmer and grew up in south Jones County near the town of Oxford Junction, Iowa. She graduated from high school and was married a year later, moved to Springfield, Illinois and has two children. After divorcing her husband she moved back to Iowa and went back to college and attained a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology at Scott Community College in Bettendorf, Iowa.

“After leaving Laboratory Management, I’ve decided to change the course of my life. The day to day stress of being in Hospital Management was not worth my health. After some long conversations with my partner and a few selective confidantes, I left my fulltime position and chose to publish my finished works and produce some new ones.”

She still works as an independent contractor and does some consulting on the side. Her years and experience in the Laboratory field have proven to be valuable for many companies and in the more detailed medical information that appears in her novels.
