Sam was born in the Victorian seaside town of Southport, England where she still lives with her husband. Although she'd love to move to a rural country village to experience a different way of life, she can't imagine leaving the glorious scent of the sea.

She is smitten by the worlds into which she is drawn by storytellers. Her own journey towards becoming a writer began with 'RUBIES', her debut novel, which she hopes to, one day, rewrite!

A Memoir of her childhood memories takes a nostalgic look into life over half a century ago, whilst a novel based on Victorian social history lays bare the loves, losses and human struggle of a family born into the hardship and poverty of the Irish potato famine.

Sam's latest offering turns to mystery, action and adventure in the form of THE DUTTON EMPIRE trilogy, featuring the fast-paced lives of a wealthy family trying to solve ancient family secrets against a backdrop of evil, greed and murder.

Sam loves being a wife, mum, nannie to five grandchildren and subjecting them to the fruits of her culinary labours!

Her admiration for other authors is unending and she constantly strives to attain the skills of great writers.
