Ugo Rossi

As an academic social scientist Ugo Rossi interrogates the societal, political and cultural challenges posed by contemporary economic transformations on local communities and their modes of living in contemporary cities and urban environments. He is the author of Urban Political Geographies. A Global Perspective (with Alberto Vanolo, 2012), of Cities in Global Capitalism (2017) and of The Urban Field. Capital and Governmentality in the Age of Techno-Monopoly (with Sami Moisio, 2024). He is the also the editor (with Theresa Enright) of The Urban Political. Ambivalent Spaces of Late Neoliberalism (2018). He is a tenured professor in Economic and Political Geography at the Gran Sasso Science Institute, a research-intensive doctoral school in L'Aquila, Italy.
