Leslie Bratspis

Award-winning author Leslie Bratspis grew up in Hollywood and Palm Springs, CA with her teacher mother, and novelist and screenwriter father, Irving Shulman. She has an AA Degree in English from LA Valley College and a BA in Anthropology from CSU Northridge. The themes in her books cover social topics she finds meaningful. Her first four novels include uplifting messages of life lessons and personal growth. Her fifth book, THE ANNIVERSARY BRACELET, is a dark, sexy, psychological thriller set in Hollywood CA. Leslie learned early that writing fiction requires more than being creative. It also requires extensive research. Before the release of GOOD FORTUNE, she had the manuscript fact-checked by the Chinese Historical Society in San Francisco, CA. Two officers in Gig Harbor, WA helped her with police procedures while writing VANILLA GRASS.

For enjoyment, she and her husband watch classic black-and-white noir movies. They also attend blues and jazz concerts. Listening to music, mindfulness meditation, sketching, painting, reading, and writing are her interests. She is a member of Red Sands Writers Circle, The Authors Guild, Rescue A Golden of Arizona, and volunteers for The Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue. First and always, her husband and their two rescued golden retrievers take precedence in her life.

Leslie thanks you for reading her books. Yes! She would love hearing from you and invites you to email from her secure website.
