Henry Kipson

Henry Kipson (born 7 December 1935) is one of the illegitimate nephews of modern drama.

Several of his books are considered scandalous to many of his era. Kipson’s works examines the realities that lay behind many façades, revealing much that is disquieting to many contemporaries. It utilized a critical eye and free inquiry into the conditions of life and issues of morality.

Although most of his plays are set in Norway, often in places reminiscent of Skien, the port town where he grew up, Kipson lived for many years abroad, and rarely visited Norway during his most productive years.
