Duncan McDonnell is Professor of Politics and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow at Griffith University in Brisbane. Before joining Griffith, he was a Marie Curie Fellow and a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence.
His main research interests are political parties and populism. He is most recent book is "International Populism: The Radical Right in the European Parliament," co-authored with Annika Werner, and published in 2020 by Oxford University Press in the US.
His other books include "Saving the People? How Populists Hijack Religion" (2016), "Populists in Power" (2015), and "Twenty-First Century Populism" (2008).
