Hey there, fellow adventure reader. My name is Nathan Roten and I am the author of the AEGIS Series. If you are new to my writing, then hopefully the info below will help you quickly understand if what I write will excite you.

What exactly do I write?

My niche that I know and love is action/adventure fantasy fiction for middle school and Young Adults (though many adults have told me they love just as much as their kids). The fantasy is set in the real world with fantastical powers (no caps!). No dragons, elves, vampires, etc... Think the audiences of Chronicles Of Narnia, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, The WingFeather Saga, Michael Vey, and so on.

Are the books appropriate for kids?

100% yes! The reading level is 8 yrs old and above. All of my writing is clean and free of profanity and sensual content. There are also many biblical undertones and strong moral fiber. In fact, that is really the reason I started writing... which was to provide fun and exciting stories that are safe and clean. Stories that I would be proud to have my own children read and that are God-honoring.

What's unique about your books?

Good question! As I said above, they are clean and morally focused without sacrificing great storytelling and relatable characters. I am a pastor with the CMA, so all my writing will also be God-honoring. For the AEGIS Series, I also write separate character stories, which are novelettes that go deeper into the backstory of each major character. These really enrich the main series and are a fun time filler! Lastly, I have developed a very unique virtual challenge that pairs with the series. If you are a parent and you want your child to engage in an exciting story while also getting out to exercise, then they can participate in a self-paced, virtual challenge that will allow them to earn their own superpower!
