Chris West

Chris West began woodturning at 30 with a simple drill‑lathe attachment in his garage. After a long career in the computer industry, he returned to woodturning full‑time, becoming an active club member, demonstrator, and regular contributor to GMC Woodturning magazine.

He is the author of: Turning Salt & Pepper Shakers and Mills and Adding Spice to Your Woodturning, both widely used by turners in the UK and USA.

Writing under his light‑hearted moniker Scribbler at Large, Chris has also published: Reaching 80, a warm and humorous collection of reflections on aging and everyday life.
