James Aitcheson

James Aitcheson was born in Wiltshire in 1985 and studied History at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, where he developed a special interest in the Middle Ages.

James is the author of four novels set during the Norman Conquest, which are published in the UK, the US, Germany and the Czech Republic. His most recent title, THE HARROWING, was published by Heron in 2016 and named by The Times as a Book of the Month.

He is currently working on his fifth novel while completing his PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Nottingham.
