Seggy T. Segaran

I have worked in the electronic manufacturing sector for 40 years. In the first 5 years I worked as a design engineer, using the then newly available 4-bit microcontrollers. I was also one of the first proud owners of an Acorn home computer.

The following 4 years were spent gaining experience of managing teams as well as engaging with other departments like sales and marketing and getting a wider understanding of how an organisation really ticks. The next 31 years have been spent starting and growing my own business. This has given me a wide range of experiences.

Over the last ten years, I have written many books on subjects varying from Portable Appliance Testing, through Designing Electronic Products to books about the Raspberry Pi. More recently along with my wife Jane we have spent much time promoting energy saving and written books on Haybox Thermal Cooking and about our various projects.
