Jesus Ramirez-Valles

Jesus Ramirez-Valles is a scholar, filmmaker, and an advocate of Latino and LGBTQ health. He's author of the award-winning book Compañeros: Latino Activists in the Face of AIDS, and co-creator of the documentary Tal Como Somos, Just As We Are --on the lives of Latino gay men, transgender persons, and people living with HIV/AIDS. For more than twenty years he has worked in both the United States and abroad. He was born in Mexico and is professor and chief of Prevention Science at the University of California San Francisco.
