Roy Berger

Roy Berger est né en 1956 à Galt, en Ontario, au cours de la révolution hongroise. Il a vécu et travaillé à Londres, San Diego, Montréal, Windsor, Brantford, Mississauga, la route Transcanadienne, le 401, Cornwall, ainsi que vingt minutes au Mexique et notamment deux jours à Moosejaw.

Il a travaillé comme serveur, plongeur, concierge, mécanicien, étudiant, expéditeur, récepteur, électromécanicien, propriétaire de magasin de livres usagés et rares, dactylo, réparateur de machine à bowling, cuisinier à la commande, secrétaire, réceptionniste, vendeur, opérateur de linotype, ouvrier de chaîne d’assemblage et empaqueteur de viande. Il a voyagé en Amérique du Nord par bus, vélo, voiture, camion, avion et à pied. Il a dormi dans des auberges, tentes, hôtels, appartements, maisons, cages d’escalier, en plein air et sur un canapé.

Roy a publié au Monitoring Times, Writer’s Block Magazine, des centaines de lettres à la rédaction partout au Canada et publié des articles et des histoires sur Canadapa, Cannabis Culture Magazine, Rude Magazine, Brick, Wattpad, The Broken City, Media-Five, London Free Press, Faux-Pas, Satellite, Cornwall Free News, The Montreal Review, Powderburnflash, Fogel's Underground Price & Grading Guide 2015-2016, et nonobstant; une minute dans le film documentaire Citizen Marc.

Roy utilise une radio à ondes courtes Grundig Satellit 800 pour parcourir le monde sans passeport et orchestre des affaires nationales importantes de chez lui à Ottawa.

Roy Berger was born in 1956 Galt, Ontario during the Hungarian revolution and has lived and worked in London, San Diego, Montreal, Windsor, Brantford, Mississauga the Trans-Canada highway, the 401, Cornwall, plus twenty minutes in Mexico and including two days in Moosejaw.

He has worked as a waiter, dishwasher, janitor, bike mechanic, student, shipper, receiver, electro-mechanic, used and rare book store owner, typist, bowling ball machine mechanic, short-order cook, secretary, receptionist, salesman, linotype operator, assembly line worker and meat packer. He has traveled North America by bus, bicycle, car, truck, plane and foot. He has been sleeping in hostels, tents, hotels, apartments, houses, stairwells, out in the open and on someone's couch.

Roy has published in Monitoring Times, Writers Block Magazine, hundreds of letters to the Editor across Canada since 1970 and published articles and stories in Canadapa, Cannabis Culture Magazine, Rude Magazine, Brick, Media-Five, London Free Press, Faux-Pas, Satellite, Cornwall Free News, The Montreal Review, Wattpad, The Broken City, Powderburnflash, Fogel's Underground Price & Grading Guide 2015-2016 and not withstanding; one minute in the movie documentary, Citizen Marc.

Roy uses a Grundig Satellit 800 shortwave radio to travel the world without a passport and orchestrates important national affairs from his home in Ottawa.
