Roger Poole (1947 - ) is a fairly quiet shy type of chap – the photo was taken in a cave on Easter Island in November 2007 and is probably the clearest one ever to be seen in the public domain. He was born in Worcestershire, England and grew up as the eldest of three siblings.
Roger graduated from Aston University in Birmingham in the summer of 1968 and registered as a pharmacist a year later. Thirty-eight years further on, on the eve of his 60th birthday, he took his registration certificate down from the wall of the dispensary and began what he called at the time his long-awaited gap year to try writing down some of the thoughts that cluttered his mind. As this biography is written, four years on, he is still trying to write.
The result of his struggles so far include two novels, 'Riversprite ~ a trow's story' and 'Tangata Manu ~ birdman of Easter Island' which are both available as e-books and an autobiographical tale, 'It's Only a Few Pills' written under the pen name of Paul Rodgers. (He used a pen name as pharmacists are not supposed to 'expose' themselves to the public).
Roger also writes articles on a variety of subjects under the pen name of Footler.
