Katharine L. Sparrow holds a BA in foreign language and education from Bridgewater University and an MSW from Boston College. She has worked in the mental health field and has taught ESL to students around the world. Travel and languages are a passion, and she has lived in Germany and Spain. Katharine is a lifetime lover of poetry, but only began writing poetry herself in 2009. She draws from personal experience and nature around her for her subject matter. She is a contributor to various poetry anthologies, and has several collections of her own currently in print. Most recently (April 2026) she has finally published a book of poetry for children, entitled "Sparrow's Garden: Poems for Children". Prior to that project, she had published her first novel, a work of historical fiction entitled "Green Among the Clovers" under a new pen name, Tamsen Taylor. This title is currently available on Amazon! The second novel in the series is in progress. Katharine's twelve short stories for kindle are available, and her articles can be seen on several websites. Katharine L. Sparrow is 12th generation "Cape Codder", and resides on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
